AREA OF RESEARCH
Nondestructive
evaluation and rehabilitation of existing bridge structures. Analysis and design
of steel and reinforced concrete bridges. Development of new
computer models
to predict dynamic and static nonlinear response of damaged and deficient
structures under service loads, overloads and failure loads.
Verification of computer models by means of
large and full scale experimental testing.
Development of smart structures, with global structural monitoring
systems.
