New project …expansion of project…I am in charge of the project…public awareness of the project…environmental impacts… socioeconomic attributes…teamwork … how? …why? ... when? Ege Egemen (Ph.D. Candidate, CAGE Dept., NMSU) taught the students the principles of environmental assessment. Students were grouped in teams and each team was given a project “proposed project” to assess. They learned the potential effects of a proposed action and its alternatives on the physical, biological, cultural, and socioeconomic attributes. A final touch on the subject!
